The East African Community (EAC) is a regional organization mandated by the governments of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda, and Tanzania to spearhead the East African economic, social, cultural and political integration agenda. The Treaty for the Establishment of the East African Community was signed in November 1999 and entered into force in July 2000.
The East African Community Competition Authority (Authority) is an institution of the East African Community (EAC) established in accordance with Article 9 of the Treaty for the Establishment of the East African Community (Treaty). The Authority is specifically established by Section 37 of the East African Community Competition Act, 2006. The Authority was established in furtherance of the commitment of the Partner States, to cooperate in trade liberalization and development including matters of competition, under Article 75 (1) (i) of the Treaty. The Authority is established to promote and protect fair competition in the Community and to provide for consumer welfare.
In support of the above mandate, the East African Competition Authority has identified the need to develop a brand identity manual and various template to facilitate the consistent branding of different types of awareness and operational materials to be used by the Authority.
The East African Competition Authority, Arusha, Tanzania has therefore set aside funds and now wishes to invite suitably qualified experts to submit their EOI for the service below;
